Homemade lemonades: Together with the fruit pressing plant “Stadler” from Piding we created refreshing, organic lemonades in four different flavors: apple-woodruff, lemon-sour cherry, raspberryrhubarb, and apricot-lemon.

Our coffee is roasted by the coffee roasting house “Vits” next to the train station “Isartor”. The coffee beans taste just like Munich’s character: fresh, intensive and lively.

The royal, Bavarian dumpling-cookery book

Ever since the “Wirtshaus in der Au” opened its doors to the public in 1993, it is famous for Munich’s biggest dumpling, the most diverse variations of dumplings, its “royal Bavarian” dumpling cooking class as well as its very own Oktoberfest tent “Münchner Knödelei”. Together with the national newspaper “Süddeutsche Zeitung”, we sat down to collect the best dumpling recipes, full of taste and tradition. Finally, we put them down in writing on 128 pages – in our “Bavarian dumplingcookery book”.

Next to recipes of dumpling classics, we let you in on our secrets about creating modern dumpling variations.

It is a book for “Münchner” and those who want to become locals here, as well as tourists, lovers of Bavarian cuisine and all those friends of proper dumplings!

“Au’r” Products

Our neighbor from the Palatinate region and Austria have also been mixing and matching with us for a long time. Together, we developed a small variation of self-made products for you:

From our “Valentin” burgundy up to the apricot prosecco “Marillensecco”.

We have used regional products only and solely worked with producers whom we have been trusting for a long time already, and created all our products with a lot of love for detail. One thing is for sure: The Bavarian spirit lives within each and every product.

“Marillen Secco”

made of burgundy grapes. A fruity apricot-prosecco with the “special something”. Exclusively bottled for “Wirtshaus in der Au” by the winery “Geisser”.

“Valentin Burgundy”

Our Valentin burgundy white wine – exclusively produced for us by the winery “Geisser” / palatine region. Available in 0.75l bottles or as a Magnum 1.5l “Big Bottle”.

“Valentin Cuvee”

Our Valentin cuvee red wine – exclusively produced for us by the winery “Geisser”/palatine region. Available in 0.75l bottles or as a Magnum 1.5l “Big Bottle”.


A spirit of black currant, raspberry, elder flower berry, gooseberry and blue berry – exclusively made for us by the distiller “Parzmair”.
